Perfect Mortgage Service, could use less of an Aviva sales pitch

All mortgage advice was expertly delivered and the mortgage advisor was professional and extremely polite. We were very happy with the service and the advisor described all aspects of the mortgage to us reassuring us at all times that we were making the right decision. The addition of mortgage monitoring services was great to see and really made us feel like we were making the best informed decision. the application handling was perfect and so far has been extremely smooth.

The loss of one star is due only to the quite strong push for us to adopt SIGNIFICANT Aviva insurance packages for critical illness, life insurance and other products. A quote for 300 pm for the critical cover would put it as our second most Signiant expenditure after the mortgage payment for a service that (god willing) we will never use. it felt a little like we had to say no 10 or so times which started off polite and moved onto being uncomfortable.

to summarize the Mortgage services were exemplary and we fully intend to use them again and would recommend them to others. but I would also warn others of the hard Aviva sales pitch.
