Terms and Conditions for the William H Brown Halloween Colouring Competition

1. The William H Brown colouring competition (“the Competition”) is organised by Sequence (UK) Limited trading as William H Brown, whose registered office is at Cumbria House, 16-20 Hockliffe Street, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 1GN, registered in England with Company Number 4268443 (“the Promoter”).

2. Entry into the Competition shall open on 18th October 2025 at 0000 hrs (BST) (“Start Time”) and all entries must be received by 29 October 2025 at 2359 hrs (BST) (“Closing Time”). Entries received outside of these dates and times will not be valid.

3. Entry into the Competition is open to all UK residents aged between 1 and 14 years of age inclusive (proof of age may be required), excluding any persons who are connected in any way to the Promoter or this Competition (including through a parent or legal guardian), (together the “Eligible Entrant”). Eligible Entrants must have consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) to enter into this Competition. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the Eligible Entrant agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of the Eligible Entrant and must explain these terms and conditions to the Eligible Entrant.

4. The Competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

5. To enter the Competition, Eligible Entrants must collect an application and consent form from William H Brown, 80 High Street, Ware, SG12 9AT (the “Office”). Eligible Entrants are required to provide a completed consent form with their entry which includes the name and contact details of the parent or legal guardian, plus the first name and age of the Eligible Entrant. Please ensure the entry is returned to the Office by the Closing Time. A parent or legal guardian of the Eligible Entrant should:

(a) Drop the drawing and completed consent form off at the Office by the Closing Time (if you would like the drawing returned to you please include a stamped and addressed return envelope).

6. Only one entry per child is permitted.

7. There will be 3 winners of the Competition, 1 winner for each of the following categories: 1-4 years old (inclusive), 5-9 years old (inclusive), and 10-14 years old (inclusive). The winners will each receive a £10.00 Amazon Voucher (the “Prize”). The winning entries will be chosen by James Newton, Branch Partner based on their view of which is the most creative picture submitted relative to the age category.

8. The Promoter will contact the parents or legal guardians of the winners by 31 October 2025 using the contact details provided on entry. The Promoter will also announce the winners on their Facebook page on 31 October 2025. The parents or legal guardians of the winners will be required to visit the Office to collect the Prize

9. If the parents or legal guardians of the winners do not claim their Prize within 30 days of being notified by the Promoter in accordance with paragraph 8, they may forfeit the Prize and the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner from the remaining eligible entries.

10. By entering the Competition, the Eligible Entrant and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award the Prize in the event of any fraud, dishonesty, breach of these Terms and Conditions or non-entitlement by you and may seek to recover the value of the Prize from you if the Prize has already been awarded.

11. The Promoter may publicise the entry on its social media accounts, in branch window displays, on its website, and on other promotional material, including posting photographs of the winning entries. If the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the Eligible Entrant has provided consent, such publicity will also include posting the first name and age of the Eligible Entrant.

12. Entries must be the Eligible Entrant’s original work and must not infringe the rights of any third party including copyright, trade mark, or privacy rights. By submitting an entry, you agree that the Promoter may publish and modify the entry and has a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, worldwide licence to publish, use and modify the entry for any purposes connected with the Competition.

13. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost or damaged entries or for entries that are late, incomplete or have not been received due to any error beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.

14. The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative (whether in part or whole) is offered. The cash value of each Prize is 10.00 GBP. The Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.

15. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Competition at any time without notice. For the avoidance of doubt this includes the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.

16. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up a Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the winners are responsible for ensuring that the Prize is appropriate and suitable for their child.

17. The Promoter will process the personal data of the entrant and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy: https://www.williamhbrown.co.uk/privacy.

18. The Promoter’s decision on the Competition shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

19. In the event of a conflict or contradiction between these Terms and Conditions, any promotional material and any correspondence or any other document relating to the Competition, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.

20. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
